A native of Burma (Myanmar), Phone Myat Tharaphy traveled alone to the United States a year ago to advance her studies. She is a sophomore at College of Saint Elizabeth, Morristown, NJ, with a major in Sociology and an interest in Economics and Business Marketing. Phone Myat is justly proud of her newly-democratic country and its foremost citizen Aung San Suu Kyi.

Naa Aku Addo, a senior at Emmanuel College, Boston, MA, with a double major in Global Studies & International Relations and Sociology with a concentration in Social Justice, spent last semester interning with the Mission of Montenegro to the European Union while studying abroad. Born and raised in Ghana, and speaking three Ghanaian languages, she moved to the United States five years ago and lives with her family in Vermont. Naa is pleased to share her country of birth with former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
